With your consent, Better Care Counseling would like to send text (SMS) messages to the mobile number you have provided in our records. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes.
By providing your informed consent where indicated, you acknowledge that you have understood the information below and agree to participate in our text (SMS) messaging service.
Please note our texts are monitored by administration staff and are not seen by your clinical therapist.
Purpose and Description: Better Care Counseling’s text (SMS) messaging service is designed to provide you with helpful information, appointment reminders or cancellations, and notifications of incomplete documents via text messages sent to your mobile phone. We are also able to respond to texts you initiate to answer any general questions you may have. We may use text (SMS) messages to communicate with you for a variety of purposes, including:
· Appointment Reminders
· Appointment Cancellations
· Notifications of incomplete documents needed for your appointment
· Announcements of upcoming groups and or events
· To reply to and answer general questions
*Do not text clinical content. For clinical content and or feedback from your clinician please use the messaging service within your HIPAA Compliant Client Portal.
Voluntary Participation: Participation in our text (SMS) messaging service is entirely voluntary. You have the right to refuse or withdraw your consent at any time.
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You can also log into your client portal to change your text SMS preferences. For assistance, reply HELP or contact us at Better Care Counseling 727-491-3999 or 615-931-1444.
Potential Costs: Participation in the text (SMS) messaging service may involve standard text messaging charges applied by your mobile service provider. Please consult your mobile service provider regarding any applicable fees or charges.

Risks: While every effort will be made to protect the security and confidentiality of information transmitted through text (SMS) messages, there are inherent risks associated with all electronic communication. These risks include unauthorized access, loss of privacy, and potential breach of sensitive information. It is important to be aware that text (SMS) messages may not be entirely secure and could be intercepted or accessed by unintended recipients.

New Clients are now required to complete and sign a form within their new client paperwork, located in their client portals regarding their SMS Text Messaging Preferences. Existing clients are able to update SMS Texting Preferences at any time.
